There have been ups and downs in Liverpool’s search for a new coaching staff, with Jurgen Klopp’s agent responding to rumors about the German’s potential next job.

Hulshoff ‘agreed’

It looked like a formality for a while and finally we have new reports suggesting that Sipke Hulshoff is close to officially joining Liverpool as Arne Slott’s assistant.

Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder Courant are reporting that a ‘deal has now been agreed’, which comes as no surprise after the coach stepped down from his role assisting Ronald Koeman ahead of Euro 2024.

He also spent the last few years working under Sloto at Feyenoord, helping the team reach the European Conference League final as well as winning the Eredivisie and the Dutch Cup.

Having already worked in several countries as a coach, he should not face the same work permit issues that have plagued fellow coach Etienne Reijnen.
