After a Championship run with the San Antonio Brahmas, OG Kohl Levao is headed to the NFL’s ranks. For the first time in his professional career, he’ll be signing an NFL contract. Sources tell Pro Football Newsroom that Levao is signing a three year deal with the New York Jets, worth up to $2.8 million dollars. It’s a standard rookie contract for someone who’s entering the NFL for the first time.

Levao has played with the San Antonio Brahmas over the past couple of seasons. In the XFL last year, he started in eight of ten games with the team.

Despite all of the roster turnover in San Antonio throughout the merger – which included an entirely new coaching staff being brought in – Kohl impressed in Training Camp. He earned a roster spot within A.J. Smith’s offense, and was a starter in every single matchup in 2024.

Kohl earned All-UFL honors this year due to his stellar play. He did not allow a single sack all year, and only gave up nine quarterback pressures, per PFF data.

Kohl Levao is one of the hardest workers you’ll find in this scene. After being rewarded with All-UFL honors, Levao commented on what it meant to earn the roster spot this year:

“It felt great. I’ve been putting in a lot of work and working alongside my teammates this season to finetune all the little kinks out, so we can run our offense as smoothly as possible. To earn that trust in camp, it meant a lot.”

Due to his UFL campaign, Levao received plenty of NFL interest. We’re told that Kohl had offers from multiple NFL teams, and several wanted to bring him in for workouts. Ultimately, he has signed with the New York Jets, as they’ve offered him a three year deal – the biggest contract for any UFL player so far this offseason.

Final Thoughts

Without the national platform that the UFL provided Levao with, who knows if this opportunity would have been possible. You can stay up to date with all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
