Manchester United have confirmed their 29-man travelling squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, with new signing Leny Yoro as part of the group.

So far, United have played Rosenborg in Denmark and Rangers in Scotland. Erik ten Hag’s men were beaten 1-0 by Rosenborg before bouncing back to beat Rangers 2-0 last weekend at Murrayfield.

The Red Devils will now fly out to the US for further clashes as they step up their preparations ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.

United will open their tour against Arsenal on July 27  before facing off vs. Real Betis on July 31. The team’s final meeting will see them play Arne Slot’s Liverpool on August 3.

After these three games, United will make their return to England to open their Premier League campaign with a match against Fulham on August 16.

United recently confirmed that players including Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, Antony, Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay, Victor Lindelof, Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen had returned to training. They’ve all been named in the 29-man squad.

The full United travelling squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Tom Heaton, Demot Mee, Andre Onana, Radek Vitek

Defenders: Harry Amass, Rhys Bennett, Jonny Evans, Will Fish, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Sam Murray, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Leny Yoro

Midfielders: Casemiro, Toby Collyer, Christian Eriksen, Hannibal, Jack Fletcher, Sam Mather, Scott McTominay, Mason Mount, Maxi Oyedele, James Scanlon

Forwards: Antony, Amad, Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Ethan Wheatley

United further noted, “Recent signing Joshua Zirkzee is not part of the squad as he continues to take his summer break following Euro 2024.”

“Altay Bayindir, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Lisandro Martinez, Facundo Pellistri and Luke Shaw are also on leave following their international exploits.”

“Tyrell Malacia is absent from the squad as he continues his rehabilitation from injury under the guidance of medical staff at Carrington.”

Malacia’s exclusion is particularly troubling, considering his lengthy period on the sidelines. The Netherlands international sustained an injury just before last season’s US tour, which ruled him out of action for the entire 2023/24 term.
