TURKI Alalshikh revealed the undercard for Usyk vs Fury 2 this evening, and it appears to have been initially well received by boxing fans. On May 18, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

While the IBF has since slipped away and into the hands of Daniel Dubois—who went on to solidify his world-class status by knocking out Anthony Joshua—Usyk is the unrivalled top dog of the division.

With the return booked up for December 21 in Riyadh, the supporting cast has now been announced for the Kingdom Arena. Even though Serhii Bohachuk and Israil Madrimov are technically both recent losers, the super-welterweight pair have styles that should blend well.

In August, Bohachuk dropped Vergil Ortiz Jr twice but lost a majority decision, along with his WBC Interim crown. Madrimov was last seen giving Terence Crawford a run for his money in Crawford’s 154-pound debut.

In a Brit-heavy undercard, Isaac Lowe takes on Lee McGregor. McGregor was once on an upward trajectory but struggles for form led to a loss at the gloves of Erik Robles in 2023. Lowe impressed when defeating Hasibullah Ahmadi on the first Fury-Usyk undercard.

After knocking out Brad Foster two weekends ago, Peter McGrail called out Dennis McCann. The prescient Liverpudlian gets his wish, taking on the European champion here.

Hot heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma steps up in class against Demsey McKean. The UK-based Aussie is 22-1 but has not fought in over a year when Filip Hrgovic outlasted him for a 12th-round knockout. Itauma is many pundits’ pick to take over the weight class eventually.

Elsewhere, UK hard man Dave Allen gets a run out to the Kingdom, facing ‘Bosh Army’ leader Johnny Fisher, a 12-0 heavy-handed heavyweight with a big following.
