US-based broadcaster Adam Susman has described Ghana winger Osman Bukari’s move from Red Star Belgrade to Major League Soccer (MLS) side Austin FC as an exciting move for Austin and for MLS.
He said this on his Evergreen Podcast following Bukar’s move from Serbia which he reported was worth $7 million in what is said to be a club transfer record. (Click the highlighted text to read the full story)
Bukari signed a three-and-a-half-year deal to join Austin with an option to extend by one year as a designated player. His status as a designated player means he will be one of the highest paid players at the club.
While highlighting Bukar’s contract in his monologue, Susman indicated that Austin’s signing was good for the club and the league.
“Overall, this is a very exciting signing for Austin and Major League Soccer. Players like this make the league more fun and for Austin specifically, Sebastian Driussi, their current star is the biggest winner here.”
“A player like this (Osman Bukari) can increase the number of goals much faster and much higher. I’m excited to see Bukar play for Austin.”
