Black Stars striker, Osman Bukari
Black Stars striker Osman Bukari trained for the first time at Austin FC after completing his move to Major League Soccer.
The 25-year-old joined Verde on a three-year deal as a designated player from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade at the start of June.
However, his trip to Texas was delayed due to his involvement in international football with the Black Stars during World Cup qualifiers.
Bukari received a rousing welcome in Austin last week after joining the team but missing the game against Sporting Kansas.
The quiet winger joined his young teammates on Monday as they trained ahead of Sunday’s game against New York City.
“Starting and staying focused as usual. Alhamdulilah for everything”, the attacker wrote on social networks after his first training session.
The former KAA Gent forward is expected to make his MLS debut against New York City as he begins life in the American Soccer League.
