NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Green Bay Packers had just seven interceptions all season, and only one of them was a pass.

Before the end of the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 3 game against the Tennessee Titans, Jair Alexander gave the Packers their sixth interception of the season and their first. The Packers defensive lineman jumped on an outside pass intended for DeAndre Hopkins, intercepted Will Levis and returned it 35 yards for a score.

That gave the Packers a 17-7 lead with 51 seconds left in the first quarter in their second straight game without quarterback Jordan Love, who is recovering from a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

In Love’s place, Malik Willis started his second straight game and led two scoring drives that gave the Packers a 10-7 lead. Alexander’s interception came on the Titans’ first play after the Packers had kicked a field goal to break a 7-7 tie.

This was Alexander’s first career interception, and his 12th career interception.

Levis is the first quarterback this season to throw multiple interceptions, having thrown one in the season opener against the Chicago Bears.
