Oscar Piastri’s Ayrton Senna tribute helmet – used by the Australian during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend – has gone up for auction, with the proceeds to be donated to the charity founded in the late Brazilian’s honour.
With the McLaren team sporting a one-off Senna-inspired livery for the event in Monte Carlo, Piastri also wore a special helmet to pay homage to the three-time world champion. The weekend saw the 23-year-old finish the race in P2, his best result of the season so far.

Signed by Piastri, the helmet – worn during Friday’s practice sessions – will now help to raise funds for the Instituto Ayrton Senna, a charity founded by the Senna family that works towards supporting children and their education in Brazil.
“It was an honour to drive at Monaco in a Senna-inspired helmet and pay tribute to such a role model,” Piastri commented. “With six wins there, he was iconic at that track and I’m glad that I was able to have a successful weekend racing in his colours.
