A member of Arne Slott’s Liverpool backroom team was confirmed on Monday, along with a major update ahead of the new-look Champions League.

Slott will officially take over as Reds manager on June 1, ahead of what we hope is the next big chapter in the club’s history.

However, the Dutchman will not be able to work his magic alone, and Reuben Peeters is now confirmed as part of his staff.

The 32-year-old has been Slott’s head of performance at Feyenoord for the past three seasons, but his role at Anfield will be as a first-team physical performance coach.

He looks set to have a similar role to Andreas Kornmayer and Andreas Schlumberger, who will be doing some of their work under Klopp.
