Former Liverpool throw-in coach Thomas Gronnemark has surprised fans by releasing his debut single, C-Complicated Love, to the world!

After five years with Liverpool as a free throw coach, Gronnemark has announced the end of his employment with the Reds in 2023.

Now he has surprised everyone with the release of his debut single, a pop track called C-Complicated Love.

Gronemark even said that his musical journey actually began in Liverpool, in a pre-season camp in France.

The former Danish international bobsled further X: “I can’t play any instrument or know any chords, but I sing and write all the time.

“My first ‘public’ musical performance was at Liverpool FC’s training camp in Evian – it was karaoke, Bill Withers to be exact.”

After finishing up in Liverpool in the spring, Gronemark explained how he started work on a new single last fall.

“In the autumn I sent my music to a top Danish producer called Rune Braager,” said the 48-year-old.

“He liked it, so we recorded my first single called ‘C-Complicated Love’. It was quite intimidating walking into the studio for the first time past the gold and platinum records hanging on the wall.”

With Lana del Rey, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran among Gronnemark’s musical influences, C-Complicated Love is an upbeat pop song that could definitely get stuck in your head.

The release of the song is not Danč’s only achievement off the field.

In 2010, he broke the world record for the longest throw, throwing the ball an incredible 51.33 meters. This has since been beaten up, but it’s not a bad feather in the cap!

While at Liverpool, his work helped the Reds improve significantly with the ball in their hands.

Back in 2019, Jurgen Klopp hailed the influence of Liverpool’s unorthodox coach, insisting that despite Gronnemark previously holding the world record for the longest throw-in, his influence was not just at a distance.

“We brought in Tomas and it completely changed our passing game.” said the manager.

“It’s not obvious because when people talk about throw-ins, they think it’s a long throw-in and you head it in.

“Now we have 18 (different) throws in other areas and we want to have the ball after these throws.

“It doesn’t make sense if you have a toss and then it’s 50-50. So the way it improves is huge.”

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Klopp listening to the track and sharing it on his new Instagram account.
