INDIANAPOLIS — The NIT will host its postseason tournament semifinals and championship for the second straight year at Butler’s Hinkle Fieldhouse next spring.
The 2025 semi-finals will be held on April 1, followed by the championship two days later. Friday’s announcement comes as Indianapolis will host the Division I, II and III men’s title games as well as the NIT semifinals and finals in 2026.
The NIT will have a 32-team field, with the first three rounds played at campus sites.
The 2024 NIT semifinals and title game at Hinkle were sold out with more than 9,000 in attendance.
The NIT also added former St. Joseph’s men’s basketball coach Phil Martelli and Conference USA Basketball Associate Commissioner Clifton Douglas to its committee that selects the field.
