– Orlando City secured its fifth consecutive away result with a 1-1 draw in Chicago on Wednesday night. Facundo Torres scored his 32nd goal for the club, passing Nani for second place on the club’s all-time scoring chart. Torres has scored five times in all competitions this season.

– For the second straight match, a controversial refereeing decision went on to cost Orlando dearly. Iván Angulo was not awarded a penalty kick, even on VAR, despite being contacted from behind by Chicago’s Federico Navarro. Oscar Pareja called the decision “inexcusable” and a “clear PK” in his post-match press conference.

– Robin Jansson will be suspended for Saturday night’s match against the New York Red Bulls after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in the aftermath of the missed PK call. Jansson had just returned from an injury suffered on May 11 in Philadelphia that cost him three matches.

– Following Saturday’s game, Orlando City will lose multiple key players to international tournaments for several weeks. Peru has called in Pedro Gallese and Wilder Cartagena for this summer’s Copa America, while Slovenia has brought up David Brekalo for the Euros. Both tournaments kick off in mid-June and hold their finals back-to-back on Sunday, July 14.

– Duncan McGuire looks poised to join the United States later this summer in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. The forward was named to the Olympic Team’s roster yet again for a camp taking place during the June international break. The camp culminates in a final tune-up game against Japan on June 11 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City.
