While there are no reports of interest in Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas yet, one Merseyside reporter has “heard” hints that he could leave.
Tsimikas has already spent four seasons at Anfield, and after making just seven appearances in his debut campaign, has made 79 appearances in his last three.
The Greek proved to be a useful back-up to Andy Robertson at left-back, but never truly threatened his place as a first-choice starter.
With change in the dugout and plenty at boardroom level, this summer presents an opportunity for a number of players to look for moves elsewhere.
According to MailLiverpool reporter Lewis Steele, who is likely to include Tsimikas.
“Signature of the summer…” ?@LewisSteele_ where #LFC will they prioritize their spending in the transfer market?

“The one to watch is probably left-back with Kostas Tsimikas, his future,” Steele said on Redmen TV’s Transfer Insight.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he left this summer, just based on certain things I’ve heard.
“Also just the fact that he couldn’t win a game in the second half of last season, even when Andy Robertson was injured.”
It may not be a huge revelation that Tsimikas could be thinking about his future, but there has been no hint of restlessness in his second-choice role since his arrival from Olympiakos.
His place in the Greece national team is under threat and he has won three trophies during his time at Liverpool, scoring the winning penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final and assisting Virgil van Dijk’s winner in the 2024 Carabao Cup final.
But with the departure of Jurgen Klopp and the arrival of Arne Slott, it serves as a useful point for players and staff to move on to pastures new.
Tsimikas signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool less than a year ago, tying him to the club until 2027, but that happened before Klopp even resigned.
The manager’s sudden departure could have caused a change of plans for many, which could be what Steele “heard” about the number 21.
It remains to be seen which clubs will be interested in Tsimikas, or if offers will be made, but it would not be a surprise now if he leaves.
