SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The two minute warning is coming to all levels of college football. That among the new technology rules approved today by the NCAA’ Football Rules Committee.

Like the NFL the two minute warning’s automatic timeouts will occur in the last two minutes of the second and fourth quarters.

Options for use of tablets for in-game video, collaborative replay systems, and a tweaking to the horse collar tackle rule were also approved at all NCAA levels.

The NCAA did also allow for communication from coach to player through the helmet worn by the quarterback and one defensive player. Right now this rule is only for the FBS. Non-FBS leagues interested in using the technology have until June 15th to submit proposals to the Football Rules Committee.
