They say that life imitates art and in this regard, Marcus Rashford’s life is beginning to imitate the computer game, Grand Theft Auto.

It seems that hardly a week goes by without a story breaking of the Manchester United man being involved in an accident, caught speeding, losing his licence, going on tequila benders or some such other tale of woe.

Now, The Sun have revealed another shocking incident which ended up with one of his United teammates in hospital.

Around 10 days ago it was reported that Rashford had been handed a six-month driving ban for doing 104 MPH on the M60 motorway in December 2023.

According to the outlet, two days before that court case, another incident occurred, this time without the England man even being in the car.

“England ace Rashford was in a vehicle behind his own Range Rover when it was hit by a black Mercedes,” The Sun claims.

“The Range Rover driver, 25, plus his passenger United defender Tyrell Malacia were advised to go to hospital.

“Police were called in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and arrested the Mercedes driver, 55, on suspicion of drink-driving.”

Malacia was released from hospital with a clean bill of health and resumed training the next day.

The young left back is currently on an individual training plan as he continues his recovery from a season-long injury.

He did not join the pre-season tour of the US but is expected to rejoin the squad in the near future.

Rashford of course was clearly not to blame for this incident but does seem to be a magnet for trouble in his private life.
