Sepp van den Berg looks to be closing in on a permanent move to Mainz, while Tom Werner has admitted he will anger Liverpool fans.
Van den Berg is reportedly in negotiations
It’s easy to forget that Van den Berg is still a Liverpool player, having not represented them since February 2020.
However, it seems that journalist Florian Plettenberg will also move permanently this summer claims that “negotiations” between the Reds and Mainz are ongoing.

Van den Berg spent the 2023/24 season on loan at the German side and all parties seem happy to see him for the foreseeable future.
This is Anfield understands Liverpool want £20m for him, with Southampton and Brentford also interested.
If the 22-year-old leaves Liverpool, he will leave with just four first-team appearances to his name.
