Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior was delighted on social media after his side won their 36th La Liga title. The celebration followed right after Real Madrid’s win over Cadiz and Barcelona’s miss against Girona. Vinicius couldn’t help but mock the Barcelona player, Ronaldo Araujo, who previously called Barcelona’s victory over Real Madrid the beginning of a “new era”.
Remember when Araujo boasted about a new dawn for Barcelona after they beat Real Madrid 3-1 during the 2023 Spanish Super Cup? Well, the tables have turned. Real Madrid have dominated four of the last six Clasicos, including the last four games. Vinicius cheekily quoted a tweet citing the achievements of Real Madrid’s young players alongside the words “new era” and eye emojis, throwing serious shade at Araujo.
It is interesting that the Real Madrid team decided not to celebrate together immediately after the victory. Instead, they are planning a big party next Sunday. And with Araujo rumored to be leaving Barcelona this summer, this could be his last Clasico clash.
