🎥 Top 5️⃣ MLS goals of the weekend

After another weekend of dramatic MLS action, we’re here to select some of the best strikes across the grounds. And volleys are a theme.

Let’s get into it.

5. Gabriel Pec vs Minnesota United

Talk about a grandstand finish. Gabriel Pec was the hero for LA Galaxy as he made an unmarked run into the box and bundled home the winner over Minnesota United.

It’s too bad everyone’s name can’t be on the sheet because it was a beautiful team move.

4. Andres Perea vs Austin FC

A towering presence in the box, Andres Perea moved in between two centrebacks and pulled off an acrobatic volley in less than five minutes.

(Special shoutout to Colarado’s Jonathan Lewis, who produced virtually the same thing).

3. Pavel Bucha vs Inter Miami

In a goal straight off the training ground, Pavel Bucha got enough of a connection on the ball to see it dribble beyond Drake Callender.

And the floodgates opened.

2. Diego Luna vs Atlanta United

Three assists weren’t enough for the eventual Player of the Matchday. Diego Luna controlled a cross with his chest and set himself up for a stunning volley finish for Real Salt Lake.

That’s video game stuff.

1. Memo Rodriguez vs FC Dallas

Finally, we don’t think Memo Rodriguez will be able to replicate this one. Though he’ll want to prove us wrong.

A stunning, powerful strike. With three points to come from it.
