Privett led Charlotte FC to a shutout victory at home over Nashville SC
CHARLOTTE, NC (Monday, May 13, 2024) – Charlotte FC defender Andrew Privett earned a spot on the MLS Team of the Matchday after his defensive leadership helped earn Charlotte FC a defensive shutout and victory over Nashville SC.
The match was Charlotte FC’s second of four home matches in May, with 36,319 fans in attendance at Bank of America Stadium.
Privett calmly led the back line through the full 90 minutes of a tight 1-0 victory. Working alongside Adilson Malanda, Nathan Byrne, and Jere Uronen, the four limited Nashville to just six shots. Privett was particularly impressive, tallying eight recoveries, five ground duels won, three tackles won, three aerial duels won, two blocks, one clearance and one interception.
