Larson has yet to sit inside his Cup car this weekend. Kevin Harvick took the No. 5 car out for practice and qualifying.

As Larson has advanced into the final round of INDY qualifying, that further crunches the time table. The NASCAR Cup Series race is schedule for an approximate start of 8:00pm ET.

With a narrow window, Larson is hoping NASCAR can delay the start.

Kyle Larson comments

“Pretty neat to be in the Fast 6,” Kyle Larson told NCS Sports.

“Happy with how the day’s going. Huge thank you to Arrow McLaren and everybody at Hendrick Motorsports. Everybody that’s been a part of this experience. It’s really cool so far.”

“Pretty neat to be lined up on the front two rows for Sunday, no matter how the Fast 6 goes. Look forward to the rest of the day, this is only the beginning, so far.”

“We’ll just be cutting things a little closer, for North Wilkesboro. But, I’ve done my studying for that, I feel like I’m ready.”

“It will probably take a few laps to learn there. Hopefully, NASCAR can delay, just a little bit. And FOX can delay just a little bit.”

“I look forward to getting there and getting to work with all the No. 5 team guys and racing for $1M, which I know we’ll be well capable of doing tonight.”

Larson is the defending winner of the $1M race.
